There’s something special about small towns like ours — when someone is hurting, folks don’t look away. They show up. They check in. They give what they can. They remind you that you’re not alone in the fight.

I have always loved that about us.

We’ve raised $275 so far, and I’m deeply grateful for every single person who’s stepped up. But my friend is still facing a mountain of stress and uncertainty, and we have a long way to go before she can breathe easy and feel safe again.

Friends, I’m popping in with a quick reminder about the GoFundMe we started for our mutual friend who’s really fighting to stay afloat right now. We take care of our own around here!

There is a real chance for her to turn her situation around BUT IT WILL NOT HAPPEN OVERNIGHT.

She has been offered a new nursing job — a solid LPN position that could finally give her stability, independence, and a fresh start. This job could change everything. The heartbreaking part is that she might not even make it to her first day. Without immediate help, she won’t be able to cover basic essentials like bills and gas to get to work. She’s right on the edge of losing everything just as her future is finally opening up.

She’s still facing eviction, still caring for her adult son with a spinal injury, and still trying to hold everything together while preparing for a new job that could finally change her situation. We’re doing everything we can to help her get through this stretch safely.

Hi everybody!

A friend of ours is in trouble and needs our help. I’ve known her since high school, you probably have too, and she has always been the kind of person who shows up for everyone else. Family, friends, coworkers — if someone needed help, she was there, even when it meant putting her own needs dead last. Over the years, people leaned on her so heavily that it drained her completely, financially, physically, and emotionally. And when she finally needed support herself, all those people she carried somehow disappeared.
