We first opened Park Street Pizza back in 2003, and since then, we’ve provided our customers with fresh, locally sourced meals at affordable prices and the warmest family-friendly service around. Everything we serve, from our hot, fresh pizza pies to our salads, breadsticks, and desserts, is homemade using only the freshest ingredients, because we believe our guests deserve nothing less than the best. Through the years, our business has grown with the Sugarcreek community, and that’s something we’re really proud of. There’s no place else we’d rather be living our pie-in-the-sky pizza dreams, and we owe so much to our town for helping us turn those dreams into reality.

In 2003 the Sugarcreek pizzeria Rocky Shanower had worked in since his teens was about to close for good. He and Courtney bought it instead. They ran the first six months out of the old downtown space while gutting a 1960s ice cream stand near the high school, then moved in. The town showed up fast, with lines running around the corner. A 100-seat dining room came in 2013, and a 60-seat patio followed in 2017.

Everything is made from scratch, with ingredients from nearby farms whenever they can get them. Rocky calls the place "our second home, our first child." Pizza Today Magazine toured the kitchen and wrote it up as a model community restaurant. It sits in the middle of Sugarcreek, Ohio's Little Switzerland, and it is closed Mondays but open Tuesday through Sunday.

The Street Corn Salad is still on the seasonal menu and September might be the best time to have it. Shredded local kale, local sweet corn, local tomatoes, fresh avocado, scallions, crumbled feta, crunchy corn, and a citrus chili dressing that makes the whole thing sing.

When the corn is gone, so is this salad. Get it while it lasts.

The Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market is open today — 3–7pm at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds. Come out, meet the growers, and know that what they harvest ends up on your plate at Park Street.

We purchase produce directly from local Amish farmers through the food hub program, and you can taste the difference.
