Farewell to one of the greats of the French New wave, Jacques Rivette.

Our recommendation to watch is 'Celine and Julie go boating' and extraordinary example of how cinema can be anything and take you anywhere.

The news that Jacques Rivette has died at the age of 87 comes just as his most notorious work, the 13½-hour epic Out 1 (shot in 1970 but not formally completed until 1990), has just become widely available...
