Eugenio is a Certified Pastry Chef and a Certified Culinarian. A lot of his friends call him Chris. Together with his family they migrated here in United States from the Philippines. His first restaurant exposure was in a Vietnamese restaurant. Hired as dishwasher and later on promoted to be an all-around cook. He was mentored by Chef Diep Tran from Saigon Vietnam for almost two years. He then dec

ided to go back to the Philippines for His Degree in Nursing and came back to America and attended Lincoln Culinary Institute formerly known as The Florida Culinary Institute, in West Palm Beach Florida. He earned his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Operation Management and International Baking and Pastry Arts. He competed in various competitions and one of the most difficult ones was the Junior American Culinary Federation Sanctioned Culinary Competition were all your skills are tested by US Master Chefs. He was the Captain in the 2011 & 2012 and got a High Silver Medals in Florida State with his Team. His also a Lifetime Televisions “All Mixed Up” reality cooking show winner of the 2012 Thanksgiving Holiday Edition and a Grand Champion Winner of 2013 Battle All Star Edition. Alongside with Chef Ralph Pagano, an American chef and television personality. In 2013 he opened PHO NOW Vietnamese Restaurant, in Port Saint Lucie Florida. He was the Executive Chef and part owner. He also had the most unforgettable experience in life that no man can take away from him. He Worked alongside with Tish Boyle, a world renowned famous Pastry Chef. He stated it was every young chef’s dream and ambition to have the opportunity to work with famous food stylists, an author, a photographer and best of all top pastry chefs; it was an honor and a chance of a lifetime. With overwhelming gratitude, He had a chance to make and bake a variety of pastries, cakes and desserts that was photographed and published ultimately into a dessert cookbook in-titled Flavorful. In 2015 He was an apprentice and got promoted Executive Sous Chef at this very own restaurant formerly Apinya's Asian Gourmet. He sees himself in her, though they come from two different countries in Asia. Chef Apinya Gillen was from Bangkok Thailand. He felt they both share the same passion and a love for FOOD. Gourmet cooking began for both of them as a craft with their grandmothers at a very young age. They both felt it grow into an art, combining the love of mixing simple and complex ingredients to the dishes they create. Chef Emman was given the opportunity to run and own this restaurant. Because He believes, He carries on the same passion and drive that Chef Apinya has shown. This was his dream and He hopes that you all consider him as a worthy choice to continue some of Chef Apinya's work, but now with his own twist specializing in Asian Fusion.
