Release #2 for the coffee shrubs we own. Available and limited to only 10 bags for purchase tomorrow (5/30) online and at the cafe. As a reminder, these tasting notes change each week with a different roast profile. When we think of sustainability, we didn’t buy coffee, we bought processing equipment for the producer. This enables him to make more than just our coffee. It enables him to grow. This is how we do “ ” and is our version of farm to cup.

We are being fresh new vinyl to the Moonlight Market at tonight from 6-8pm. We will be spinning records and slinging sourdough loaves as well as other tasty treats from !!!

WE BOUGHT A FARM!!!! ( sort of…) What we actually bought was some coffee processing equipment for one of favorite producers, Andres Cardona, and in exchange, he gave us piece of land with coffee shrubs on it. Each harvest is ours and we could not be more excited. This is our first lot of coffee where we own the trees and were involved in the first harvest and we decided the processing. We anxiously awaited as it moved through the export process. Now it is finally here…
This is “Primer Paso” which translates to “first step” because it is the first step for us in owning the coffee shrubs and learning the ins and outs of growing coffee at origin. This coffee is extremely limited as the first harvest of a coffee shrub is usually quite small. In our case we received just under 50 kg. Each week we will release one roast at a time, rested for one week, with different roast profiles as we learn more about our coffee. It will be sold in 8oz bags for $20. There will be 10 available at our cafe and 10 available online starting tomorrow morning at 8:00 am. Once sold out, it will release again with different roast profile next Saturday. We are here doing another Vinyl Night, this time ! Second night this week and 2 of five shows in the next two weeks. Comment with who you think has the best picks for the night- Chris or Mike. We have a small be going on between us…
Next Tuesday we are at then back at Sound Brewing for the Moonlight Market where we will be not so oh spinning, but also slinging some coffee and sourdough bread from !

FREE FOOD! Tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 we have the owner of St. Feuillien at Roasted Record! To compliment his amazing beers on tap, we have a charcuterie board by ! This is open to the public and a quick overview of Belgian beer and the style will precede the release of St. Feuillien’ Blanche and Grand Cru beers on tap!

Next Belgian beer class is set! Come out to meet the the owner of St Feuillien brewery in Belgium! We are honored to have him stop by and are looking forward to learning about his brewery. Of course his beer will be on tap and served in his glasses! The class will be open to the public, and free of charge, but please comment here if you will be attending so we can get enough snacks for everyone!

Free Espresso…That’s how we roll. As a reminder- if you ride your bike to either our cafe downtown or our new bakery/to go coffee spot on ocean blvd , we give you a free espresso! Parking is always tough downtown, so this reduces the traffic. And parking is moment the Bakehouse, so swing by to grab a coffee or any of our retail coffee bags!
