For years I called myself a chef because I put in the work, served my community, owned restaurants, catered events, and created meals from my heart. But today, earning my Associate Degree in Culinary Arts has solidified something special for me.
I know a degree doesn't automatically give someone talent, skill, or passion. Those things are earned through experience, dedication, and countless hours in the kitchen. But this accomplishment has done something major for me it has strengthened my confidence, validated my journey, and elevated the vision I have for my business.
This degree represents discipline, sacrifice, late nights, perseverance, and a commitment to mastering my craft. It's proof that no matter where you start, you can continue to grow, learn, and invest in yourself.
Today, I celebrate not just the degree, but the woman who refused to quit. The chef I knew I was has now been backed by education, experience, and purpose.
Here's to new opportunities, greater confidence, and the continued growth of Planet Earth 404.
