Today marks almost 40 years of loving Stevie. Through the laughter, the tears, the victories, the challenges, and every season in between, one thing has remained constant—God’s faithfulness.
This anniversary looks very different than anything we could have imagined. My husband is currently in the hospital on life support, awaiting open heart surgery. Yet even in this difficult season, I choose gratitude. I thank God that Stevie is still here, still fighting, and continuing to show signs of strength and improvement each day.
I want to sincerely thank every family member, friend, church member, and even those who only know us through this journey, for your prayers, your encouraging words, your calls and messages, and for your generous donations to Stevie’s GoFundMe. Your love has carried us on days when the road felt overwhelming. We do not take your kindness lightly.
Please continue to pray for Stevie as he prepares for surgery—that God will guide the hands of every doctor, nurse, and specialist involved in his care, grant him complete healing, and restore him fully. Please also keep me in your prayers, asking God to strengthen me, sustain me, and give me peace that surpasses all understanding.
Though this is not how we planned to celebrate nearly four decades together, I believe God is still writing our story. Thank you for standing with us, believing with us, and reminding us that we do not walk this journey alone.
