Long post, please read & share…
As most of you have heard, the bar has officially sold. Our last day of business will be this Thursday, June 6th. The bar will be closed on Friday June 7th for the legal transfer and will reopen on Saturday June 8th under new management. As most of you know, dealing with the sale of a business isn’t always easy. We tried to remain as transparent as possible with both our employees and customers, based on the information we were given. It seemed as though each time we thought we were nearing the finish, a new hurdle presented itself causing a delay of some sort. Now that all ducks seem to be in a row, on both sides of the pond, things are moving rather quickly.
When we bought this business, we had no idea what was in store for us. In the very beginning we were faced with the many trials and tribulations that Covid brought about. So much unknown & uncertainty. Each day was a new adventure….. but we made it through. From there on we’ve met so many wonderful people, from all walks of life. We’ve formed bonds and friendships that will hopefully be lifelong. We’ve heard and seen it all, as you can imagine! And we look forward to seeing this business continue to grow and flourish and are hoping that you all will continue to support the new owners, as you’ve done for us these past 5 years.
We’ve enjoyed every aspect of being business owners, the good, the bad & everything in between. But, we are ready to focus on our family. Our oldest granddaughter will be playing collegiate volleyball in the fall, our middle granddaughter will be embarking on her last year of junior high and we just recently welcomed our first grandson into the world - so we have a lot of memories to make!
This chapter may be closing, but that doesn’t mean any of the memories will be forgotten. This next chapter for us will be full of new beginnings. We want to be present in the moment rather than multi-tasking. We’re looking forward to having a little more free time to pause & enjoy all that life has to offer. All that we’ve experienced has taught us many valuable lessons & we have no doubt that this ending will lead to new beginnings for all involved. Thank you all again for the last 5 years of loyal business!
