With 12ish inches of snow….the Mississippi Coffee Lady was snowed in for awhile where we’re currently stationed in Oklahoma so my roastery has been taking a very rare as the supply chain has been disrupted due to bad weather.

Still taking all the Valentine’s Day coffee orders and will be filling all current orders and subscriptions at the beginning of next week as inventory arrives!

When you’re small buisness owner shooting content but also a mom😆

I started this buisness when tragedy struck our family and I was the oldest child still at home in my widowed mother’s house. I needed a way to bring in an income without punching a clock as I was helping her homeschool my younger brothers and sisters in a very challenging season for all of us when we needed each other. I asked the Lord for an idea and a business model that could grow, and would be one I wouldn’t have to recreate in the event I ever got to have my own family.

Going on 12 years later, I’m running the same small buisness from wherever duty calls my husband as I now get to mother little miracles and start our own homeschool journey.

Some of you are new around here and some of you have been here cheering me on from the very beginning. Regardless of how long you’ve been around, whether you have a coffee subscription with me, or you just like and share my posts….THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for helping me fulfill a dream❤️

On this day in history, in 1773, fearless Sons of Liberty threw a whole ship’s cargo of tea into the harbor in direct defiance of the tyrannical king that ruled them, igniting a rally cry across the colonies! Women soon organized their own Tea Party in a small coastal town in North Carolina, a display of courage and self denial as tea was so integral to culture & commerce. Patriots have been sipping coffee ever since! And my passion is bringing you the finest quality roasts that fan your flames of patriotism and keep you in touch with our roots🇺🇸

It’s become a family tradition to dump tea into the harbor wherever we’re stationed every December 16th but I’ve never been so dang land locked in my life as we are in Oklahoma😂

So a Founding Fathers hoodie and sipping coffee from my No Stamp Act tea pot with the kids will have to do instead😆🇺🇸☕️
