The Soulard Business Association: Women’s Edition 💁‍♀️

On Saturday, August 29th from 1-4pm, the Farmer’s Market will be hosting a Founder’s Day Bluegrass Festival (with free watermelon and sweet corn) to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the Grand Hall and honor Julia Soulard, the woman who ensured the market would exist in perpetuity!

In recognition of the market’s matriarch, the Soulard Business Association invited all of the inspiring women who run businesses in our neighborhood to gather together for a powerhouse picture. We proudly hold the torch Julia lit, share in her entrepreneurial spirit, and continue to build a community around the market she loved.

Soulard Women-Led Businesses: Morgan Ford Massage & Spa, Pieces, Historic Crossroads, Star Agency, Corner Reformer, Nadine’s Hashhouse, Jack Nolen’s, Realty Executives, Hi-Hat, Eat Crow, Soulard’s Cajun Corner, Fur Real K9s, Protagonist Cafe, Antagonist Cafe, Clem & Co, Bogart’s Smokehouse, Grateful Pets, Baked & Boiled Bagels, Island Life Yoga & Nutrition, Goshen, Medusa’s Salon, Adventures of Intrigue, and Love in Action.

Another successful Casual for a Cause! This month’s charity, Adoption Center, was nominated by four different employees, making it an easy choice. We loved visiting, meeting some of the cats and dogs in their care, and seeing firsthand the incredible work they do for animals throughout St. Louis. Thank you to our staff for helping us support organizations that make a difference in our community.
