Hello TKS Family and Friends!
(Long Post...but worth reading)
The previous event at the Missouri History Museum was (from what I was told by a close friend) the "1st time they’d seen me smile in a while!” I had the time of MY LIFE and realized what I’ve been missing for a while.
Over the last four years my Friend and Real Estate Agent, Scott Sinson, has shown me numerous places to encourage me to get me back in the restaurant business and I GREATLY APPRECIATE HIM!!
I’ve been BLESSED with the opportunity to Design my own restaurant. I put my thoughts and ideas on paper, but fortunately for me, Made Man Design (I might be biased, but I BELIEVE PATRICK is the BEST IN THE WORLD) listened and designed (what I would like to take credit for as my ideas) what I believe is the Best Looking restaurant I could ever imagine.
It takes a lot of equipment, planning, and special details for my team and myself to ensure the quality and experience you all are patiently waiting for and expect from TKS. I am still amazed at how everything has worked out and come together for optimum functionality.
I would like to say THANK YOU to Delmar Maker District for including The Kitchen Sink into the vision they have for this neighborhood!! It’s HUMBLING to have people still interested in TKS over FIVE Years after closing the last location. I am in awe of Mr. Douglas for investing close to a million dollars into a building, giving me the privilege to relive my dreams of cooking for y’all! This is a HUGE PROJECT with MANY HURDLES for DMD and they toppled them seamlessly …… for me to have this vision and for you to enjoy!
Now about when we are opening:
I wanted some epoxy river tables, certain chairs, and bar stools made special for you, so it will take a little longer than I envisioned for those items to arrive. We are still dealing with supply chain issues. All the equipment needed for my kitchen is not available right now.
Last, but not least, I would like to thank Mr. Jassen Johnson & the Academy-Sherman Park Neighborhood Association for all their help and support for this project.
TKS Family and Friends: I’m here for the next 15 years (in the new location) and I am sorry it will be a "little longer" (1st quarter of 2023) before we open but it will be worth the wait!
With Humility and Gratefulness,
Anthony Ellerson, Jr.
