Today’s Tuesday prep was from a small family owned sandwich shop called Vivola’s Express. 😋 Vivola Express

A few sammies on the table today: The OG Steve, The JD Cold Shoulder, Ham & Swiss, Italian Classic and Brett’s Original. They also had Chili and Lobster Bisque. All delicious!!

If you find yourself in the neighborhood check them out! Vivola’s Express is located at 1911 Schuetz Rd, Maryland Heights, MO 63146. It is situated in the West Park Plaza strip mall, just off Page Avenue and Schuetz Road.

Today we celebrate and say goodbye to an incredible member of the Mac’s team.

Thank you for 8 years of excellence, dedication and hard work at Mac’s. Tom is the kind of team member every restaurant hopes to have—reliable, hardworking, positive, and always willing to go the extra mile for both our guests and his coworkers. And an excellent training coach for new hires.

Over the years, Tom has made a lasting impact on our team and our restaurant. His commitment and friendly attitude have helped make Mac’s a better place. We wish him all the best!

We celebrated with cake & cupcakes and of course sent Tom home with a box of dry-aged steaks!

On special again this week…

Mac’s SMASH TACOS with a twist -

🌮🍍 The Tropical Taco🍍🌮

A hand-pressed corn tortilla topped with a beef patty, American Cheese, shredded Cabbage, Negra Aioli, Pickled Pineapple, and Crème Fraiche.

These were brought together by our son and they’re delicious. We’ve been eating them behind the scenes for a while and are excited to share them with you!

If you ever find yourself up north in Duluth, Minnesota—about 2.5 hours from the Canadian border—make sure this sandwich shop is on your list.

Not local to St. Louis, but undeniably delicious. During our trip, we went back multiple times and worked our way through five different sandwiches. Every one was outstanding, and a few were among the best sandwiches we’ve ever had.
