We hope you will join us for our newest adventure. More wonderful options for our guests in Historic Saint Charles.
Good morning Historic Saint Charles, Missouri! We wanted to share with you some exciting news. Braddens Restaurant is a beloved casual eatery in the South Main Historic District. Steve Powell and I have purchased the building and restaurant after Alice and Don Stoviak are retiring from a 15 year legacy. We are grateful to Alice and Don for their caretaking of such a wonderful piece of history on South Main Street. The building was built in 1818. It was originally Eckerts Tavern and also served as the hosting place for the crafting of the Santa Fe Trail documents.
We have so much more history to share but first let's talk food! We are keeping the majority of the favoritie menu items. We plan to offer an expanded dinner menu with new entrees and specials. We also will be opening on Sundays just in time for the wonderful patio season Main Street visitors and locals enjoy. Soon we will also have a Sunday brunch as well. The patio will be enhanced with gas lights, fire pits and new garden patio areas. The interior will be repainted, offer new lighting and new seating areas. Steve and I have been in the hospitality and tourism business for almost 40 years. We are excited for this next adventure in our collection of historic buildings on South Main Street. We hope you will come by for lunch or dinner and enjoy your favorites while seeing the same amazing staff that has taken care of you over the years. We are grateful to Don and Alice for allowing us to carry on a wonderful tradition on South Main Street and excited to have you along on our journey. See you soon at Braddens 1818 Bistro!
