Squaw Lake, north of Nature’s Lake

10/1- someone spotted dog p**p and prints to the northeast of Nature’s Lake. It was not normal s**t. It was definitely from a dog that was in survival mode eating anything it could find.  Kevin is searching the area today with the family’s two other dogs. We are praying he’ll find her.  We’re hoping to get the word out to all hunters in the area to be vigilant. Don’t chase her or pursue her. Just call the phone number please.

9/30- From Kevin, the owner:
Yesterday we set up four different food and freshwater “traps” with live camera feeds in the area she went missing. More travel on surrounding trails and roads would be appreciated. We are trying to avoid the trails where we placed food and water on so she doesn’t spook as she is going to be in full survival mode now and afraid of humans and other dogs. The professionals remain very optimistic that she will come out of hiding soon, so we just have to stay at it. Praying for her to be seen ASAP! 🙏🙏
9/29- scent/food stations made more robust and added cameras. No indications or sightings yet. The Retrievers are helping.
9/28- The owner walked 6 miles of trails with the family’s other two dogs. Scent and food stations checked. No indications of Riley yet.
9/27- We put out signs and flyers today, talked to lots of people, walked woods, trails and searched with the thermal drone for 12 hours. 8am till 8pm. We can confirm she is not in the water, on the bogs, nor stuck in the woods where she was last seen. We believe she is healthy and traveling.
There were many animals, but no large predators observed on the north west side of Nature’s Lake. No coyotes, wolves, or cougars at present, and no kill sights. We need people in the greater area to check trail cams, ring cams and watch trails and roads. Riley has an orange collar, and orange vest on. Thank you for watching for her! 🙏🏼
9/26 original post. Day one- Riley is very friendly and loves hunting. She’s attracted to gun fire. Hunters please watch, as she will approach you. She has an orange vest and collar on. I’ll be putting out signs, flyers, and searching with the thermal drone in the morning.
She had been grouse hunting with 2 other dogs. A loop was made in the woods, the owner and 2 dogs turned back, it’s believed she kept going. As soon as it was noticed, the owner began searching. With no success, scent articles and food were left in two places, and unfortunately have not been disturbed. The owner and family have been walking trails with the other dogs extensively. She likely continued toward distant gunfire but there were too many to know which one she continued towards.
