What a year.
As the dust begins to settle on the 2026 Illinois State Fair and the little trailer is back in hibernation, we can do nothing but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for this fair. Watching so many Tornado Potatoes, Lemonade Shake-ups, and $2 Corn Dogs walk Grandstand Ave is one of the most amazing parts of our year.
This year we had the pleasure of watching Vose Korndogs line form right beside our kitchen (trust us, we know they are that good)! We ate more The Donut Family, MiaBella's Wood Fired Pizza Food Truck & Catering, and Food Baby Inc. cheeseburgers than we would like to count.
It was also a year when the vendor camaraderie on the fairgrounds was more evident than ever. We personally got “bailed out” when we ran out of ice, and hours later turned around and gave potatoes to another vendor in need. It really is a family of vendors, and working side by side with them is truly something special.
And as always, we would be remiss if we didn’t say thank you to the leadership and team at the Illinois State Fair. Their tireless efforts are evident throughout the eleven days. From grounds improvements to new and great ideas, their hard work does not go unnoticed.
So again, thank you. Thank you for making the 2026 Illinois State Fair another great one for the books. We will see you in 2027.
