I don't want you to think I've fallen down on the job in my cookie research on this trip. This is today's find - Norwegian molded cookies, these were originally made in the 1950s. They're a crispy sugar cookie with just a little bit of coconut. My taste tester and I couldn't eat just one. 🙂

Time to do more research for the bakery! We'll be checking out the flavors of Scandinavia and I'll be forced to taste test ridiculous amounts of cookies and pastries. So for the next little while instead of my baking you'll see what I'm trying out - all in the quest to make our Heritage baking even better. :) In the meantime, these are cardamom and cinnamon buns I baked up recently to prepare for the trip. I plan to try lots and lots of these soon!

I wanted you to see these Glazed Lemon Shortbread before they were baked so you could see all of the little, tiny vanilla seeds. I made these with my own Vanilla Sugar, which I make while decanting batches of my hand-crafted vanilla. And of course I used this mold from the early 1800s. :)
