Roast #100 ☕

Today I completed my 100th roast.

A few months ago, Old Bird Coffee was just an idea. Now, thanks to all of you, that idea has become 100 batches of fresh roasted coffee leaving this little roasting shed and finding homes across our community.

To everyone who has purchased a bag, shared a post, encouraged me, or simply cheered me on along the way—thank you.

You are the reason Old Bird Coffee exists.

As our flock grows, so does our ability to give back. From the beginning, we’ve committed to donating $1 from every bag sold to support organizations that care for birds of prey, starting with Glen Helen Raptor Center.

This milestone belongs to all of us.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Bonnie and I honored our veterans this morning by taking part in the annual Murph workout at BBFitness937. With my leg still healing from surgery, pushups were about all I could manage—but Bonnie and everyone who showed up absolutely crushed it today.

Thankful for those who served and sacrificed for our freedom. ❤️🤍💙

Old Bird Coffee may be moving a little slower for a bit. Surgery was this morning, and thankfully everything went well. Now begins the long road of recovery.

Thankful for all the support, prayers, and encouragement. The owl’s still watching… just from a seated position for a while ☕🦉

This one should lean into the atmosphere and story of the space rather than just “selling coffee.”

Late nights in the roasting shed.

What started as an idea slowly became a place — built by hand, rooted in family, music, hard seasons, and good coffee. Every roast that comes out of this room carries a little bit of that story with it.

Old Bird Coffee is now live on Shopify for orders and shipping. Thank you to everyone supporting this journey and becoming part of the flock.
