Almost 5 years ago with the lack of taqueria options in Cincinnati our family decided to open Taqueria El Monarca. With our street art and street cart inspired plates changing the narrative on traditional U.S. Mexican restaurants. Rough from the start yet we couldn’t have been blessed with a better clientele. We learned a lot. We created wonderful memories. We survived the pandemic because of your loyalty. Today we come here with our hearts in hand and confirm that we have been bought out by a local restaurateur. Although it wasn’t the easiest decision our journey doesn’t end here.
