Taho is a popular Filipino dessert and street food made of three main ingredients:
1. Silken tofu (soft, smooth soy curd) – the base of the dessert
2. Arnibal – a sweet syrup made from caramelized brown sugar, sometimes flavored with vanilla
3. Sago pearls – similar to tapioca pearls, chewy and round
Taho is typically served warm in a cup and sold by street vendors in the morning. Vendors carry large aluminum containers and call out “Taho!” as they walk through neighborhoods.
It’s a soft, sweet, and comforting snack that’s deeply rooted in Filipino culture.
