🇺🇸 We’re Back! 😊

Our little getaway is over, and today we’re already busy preparing everything for the week ahead.

First of all, thank you all for your understanding. This short break was exactly what we needed.

The weather on the first day was perfect—not too hot, and we even got some sunshine. I finally made it into the ocean! 🌊☀️

The second day wasn’t the best beach weather. It was windy and a little chilly, so instead we spent the day exploring Myrtle Beach. And what can we say? We really enjoyed it. It wasn’t overly crowded, and while it’s definitely a tourist destination, it still had a relaxed atmosphere that suited us perfectly. We prefer the quieter side of things, and it turned out to be just what we needed.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t visit Horst Gasthaus, which several of you recommended, because they were closed during our visit. But that just gives us a good reason to come back again! 😊

Most importantly, Angela and I had time to clear our heads, recharge our batteries, and simply enjoy being together. And of course, Little Leo joined us on the adventure too! 🦁

Now it’s time to get back to work with fresh energy, new ideas, and maybe even a few new German specials for you to enjoy in the near future. 🇩🇪🍽️

🦁🇩🇪 Dear Schnitzelhouse Family,

Today we have a personal announcement.

For almost a year now, Angela and I have been working hard to build Old Leo's Schnitzelhouse. We've been incredibly blessed by your support, and we wouldn't be where we are today without you.

But we realized something this week...

Since arriving here, we've been so focused on work, the food truck, events, and serving our customers that we haven't really taken any time for ourselves. We haven't explored much, taken a break, or simply enjoyed a couple of days away.

So we made a decision.

We're taking a short two-day trip to Myrtle Beach to recharge our batteries and spend a little time together.

Because of that, our scheduled stops at South Post Commissary and Fit4Life - Hope Mills this Saturday will unfortunately be canceled.

We hope you understand.

Sometimes even the people making the Schnitzels need a little break. ❤️

We promise we'll be back on Tuesday with fresh energy, new motivation, and ready to continue the Schnitzel Revolution.

Thank you for your understanding, your support, and for being such an amazing community.

We wish all of you a wonderful weekend.

Even though we're only gone for a couple of days, we're going to miss you. And honestly... we're already looking forward to seeing everyone again next week.

🦁🇩🇪 Schnitzelhouse Family, we have a confession to make... 😅

After our day at Cross Creek Mall, Angela and I actually had a little free time for once. So we thought, why not go visit our friend Josh from The Yinzers Truck? 😎

So off to The Yinzers Truck we went!

I finally got to try the famous Pierogi, and Angela had the Pittsburgh-Style Pastrami Sandwich.

What can I say?

👉 It was absolutely delicious!

So good that I briefly considered selling Pierogi instead of Schnitzel on Tuesday... but only for a moment. 😂

Seriously though, if you get the chance, stop by and give it a try. Whether it's today, next week, or next month, put it on your list.

You won't regret it.

And before anyone asks:

Yes, eating something other than Schnitzel once a week is allowed.
At least according to Section 7 of the Old Leo's Schnitzelhouse Rule Book. 😜

We love great food—whether it's German, American, or anything in between. And when other food trucks and local businesses do an amazing job, we're happy to say so.

At the end of the day, we're all part of the same community, helping make Fayetteville a more delicious place one meal at a time. ❤️
