A snapshot of some of our just harvested eggs. Lots of colors in our basket! One of the silkies has been laying eggs with calcium deposits (little bumps on the cream colored egg don't affect the egg inside). I suspect its from "Pina Colada," who had a stressful week while we were out of town last week a dog got in our yard and hurt her leg. She is recovering, but stress can cause this abnormality in eggs. This can also be caused by too much oyster shell supplements.
