Join us at Lazy G Ranch in Cookeville for two days of Wild West fun: 🗓️ Friday, October 2nd | 10 AM – 5:30 PM
Enjoy a FREE Family Demonstration Day featuring frontier style activities and the Youth Chuckwagon Cook-Off. Please note: No Chuckwagon meals will be served on Friday, food trucks only.
🗓️ Saturday, October 3rd | 10 AM – 2:30 PM
Your ticket includes a Chuckwagon meal served from 12PM– 12:45PM, plus a full day of fun:
• Cowboy cooking & frontier demonstrations
• Kids’ activity area
• Wild West reenactments
• Cattle roping and more!
🎫 General Admission + Meal Tickets:
• Adults: $25
• Kids (12 & under): $10
• Children 2 & under: FREE
📍 Please note: This event takes place on a working farm with hay field parking and is not fully wheelchair accessible.

The Chisholm Trail crossing at Round Rock Texas. Just under IH 35 in Round Rock there is a trail of wagon wheel grooves in the limestone river bed on Brushy Creek where the Chisholm Trail crossed the river. If you look close, you will see where they chiseled lateral grooves in the limestone between the tracks for the oxen to get a foot hold while crossing. A little piece of Texas history literally chiseled in stone.

Registration for youth at the Putnam County Chuckwagon Cookoff is now open. The youth contest is open to ages 10 thru 17. Each youth will cook with a chuckwagon cook to prepare a cobbler. Contest will take place on Friday October 2, 2026. Send us a message for more information.
