Weekly Words of Faith, Inspiration, and Encouragement from Steve Moore

A Father’s Day Message from Steve Moore

On this Father’s Day, I want to take a moment to honor and celebrate every father, grandfather, stepfather, mentor, coach, uncle, pastor, and father figure who has chosen to lead with love, sacrifice, integrity, and unwavering commitment.

Being a father is about so much more than biology. It’s about showing up. It’s about making difficult decisions, setting an example, offering wisdom, extending grace, and providing strength when those around you need it most. The world is a better place because of men who quietly and faithfully pour into the lives of others.

As I reflect on my own journey, my heart is filled with gratitude for my father. After losing my mother at the tender age of three, he became a steady source of guidance, discipline, and love. His sacrifices, values, and perseverance helped shape the foundation upon which I have built my life.

I’m also thankful for the many father figures and positive role models God placed along my path—men who encouraged me, corrected me, believed in me, and demonstrated what character and leadership truly look like. Their investment in my life helped mold me into the man I am today and played a meaningful role in whatever success I have been blessed to achieve.

The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” It also encourages fathers in Ephesians 6:4 to bring up their children “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” Those words speak to the incredible responsibility and lasting influence that fathers have in shaping lives and leaving a legacy of faith, character, and purpose.

To every father reading this: never underestimate the impact of your presence. The conversations you have, the lessons you teach, the example you set, and the love you give may echo for generations. Someone is becoming stronger because you chose to be faithful.

And to those who are remembering a father in Heaven or carrying the weight of loss this Father’s Day, may God surround you with His peace, comfort, and unfailing love.

From my heart to yours, thank you to all the fathers and father figures who continue to lead with courage and compassion. Your influence matters more than you may ever know. My prayer is that God continues to strengthen your hands, guide your steps, bless your families, and keep each of you “Safe in His Arms” as you walk boldly in the purpose He has ordained for your lives.

Happy Father’s Day, and may the Lord’s richest blessings be yours today and always.

It’s Better to Be a Servant Because Humility Opens Doors Pride Never Can

Let me ask you a question that I hope lingers in your spirit today:

Are you chasing the spotlight… or are you chasing significance?

I’ve lived long enough to discover that some of the greatest blessings in life don’t come from being the loudest person in the room. They come from being the one who quietly shows up, works with excellence, serves with integrity, and gives God the glory.

The world tells us to promote ourselves, protect our image, and make sure everyone knows our name. But God often works in the opposite direction. He has a way of taking the humble, the faithful, and the willing servant and placing them exactly where they need to be at exactly the right time.

I’ve learned that humility isn’t weakness—it’s strength under God’s control.

There have been seasons in my own life when I’ve experienced heartbreaking loss, unexpected setbacks, and doors that seemed permanently closed. Yet even through grief, disappointment, and unanswered questions, I’ve watched God make a way where there appeared to be no way. Looking back, I can honestly say that many of the opportunities He placed before me weren’t come by demanding attention—they came by remaining faithful, staying teachable, and continuing to serve.

Jesus Himself gave us the perfect example. He didn’t come seeking applause or earthly status. He came to serve.

“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.”
— Matthew 20:26

Think about that for a moment. Heaven’s definition of greatness is completely different from the world’s. God isn’t impressed by titles nearly as much as He is by character. He isn’t looking for people who simply want influence; He’s looking for people He can trust with influence.

And Scripture reminds us:

“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
— James 4:6

That verse alone should make every one of us pause.

So before you fight to be first, ask yourself if God is calling you to serve first.

Before you insist on recognition, ask whether your reward is already being prepared in places you cannot yet see.

Before you become frustrated because someone else received the promotion, remember that what God has for you doesn’t require you to push people out of the way. His favor has a way of finding those who faithfully serve.

Today, I challenge all of us—including myself—to choose humility over ego, compassion over competition, and service over self-promotion.

Because I truly believe this:

The door that humility opens can never be forced open by pride.

And when God opens a door, no person can shut it.

Reflection Question

Who have you served lately without expecting anything in return, and what might God be trying to teach you through that act of humility?

As always, I encourage you to keep your faith bigger than your fears, your purpose bigger than your position, and your heart anchored in service. The world may celebrate status, but God celebrates servants.

And as I close this week’s reflection, I want you to know that I will continue to speak God’s blessings of health, strength, favor, peace, wealth, and prosperity over you and your family. May you walk in humility, live with purpose, and experience doors that only God can open.

Until next time, may the Lord continue to keep us all “Safe in His Arms.”

Faithful Witnesses Testify to God’s Promises:

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony…” — Revelation 12:11 (KJV)

Have you ever noticed that some of the most powerful sermons are not always preached from a pulpit?

Sometimes they’re preached through a life.

They’re preached through scars.

They’re preached through perseverance.

They’re preached through people who have walked through challenges, faced uncertainty, endured setbacks, and yet continue to trust God.

That is what faithful witnesses do.

They testify.

Not just with their words, but with their lives.

One of the greatest pieces of evidence that God is faithful is not found in a history book, a sermon, or a church program. It is found in the lives of ordinary people who have seen God do extraordinary things.

People like you.

People like me.

People who know what it means to pray and wait.

To believe and trust.

To hold on when it would have been easier to give up.

I often tell people that one of the reasons I know God is real is because I’ve seen His promises at work firsthand. Not because life has always been easy. Not because every prayer was answered exactly when I wanted it answered. Not because every door opened the first time I knocked.

But because through every season, God has remained faithful.

Like many of you, I’ve experienced seasons of uncertainty, disappointment, unanswered questions, and challenges that tested my faith. There were moments when I didn’t understand what God was doing. There were seasons when I had to walk by faith and not by sight.

Yet through it all, God has never failed me.

And when I look back over my life, from losing my mother at the age of three to serving this community for more than 30 years, I can honestly say that every step of the way I have seen God’s hand at work.

Doors I could not open myself were opened.

Opportunities I didn’t deserve were placed before me.

People were sent into my life at just the right time.

Favor showed up when there was no logical explanation.

Strength arrived when I thought I had reached my limit.

That’s why I know God’s promises are real—not because I simply read about them, but because I’ve lived them.

Can anybody testify to that?

Can you look back over your own life and see moments when you should have been defeated, but God made a way?

Moments when you didn’t know how things would work out, but somehow they did?

Moments when you couldn’t see the path ahead, but God guided your steps anyway?

That is a testimony.

The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV):

“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”

In other words, God keeps His Word.

Not some of it.

Not most of it.

All of it.

Now understand, God’s promises don’t always arrive on our timetable.

Sometimes they come after the waiting.

Sometimes they come after the struggle.

Sometimes they come after the lessons.

But they always arrive according to God’s perfect timing.

Abraham became a faithful witness because God fulfilled His promise.

Sarah became a faithful witness because God fulfilled His promise.

David became a faithful witness because God fulfilled His promise.

And if we’re honest, many of us are walking testimonies because God fulfilled His promises in our lives.

Psalm 105:5 (KJV) reminds us:

“Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth.”

Sometimes we become so focused on what we’re waiting for that we forget what God has already done.

Remember the doors He opened.

Remember the prayers He answered.

Remember the protection He provided.

Remember the favor He extended.

Remember the blessings that arrived when there seemed to be no way.

Remember the strength He gave you when you felt weak.

Every remembered blessing becomes fresh evidence of God’s faithfulness.

And faithful witnesses don’t keep quiet.

They tell others what God has done.

Not to bring attention to themselves.

But to bring glory to God.

Your testimony may be the very thing that encourages someone else not to quit.

Your story may be the reason someone chooses to trust God one more day.

Your witness may help someone hold on through a difficult season.

That’s why we should never underestimate the power of sharing what God has done in our lives.

Psalm 107:2 (KJV) declares:

“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.”

Notice it doesn’t say let the redeemed think so.

It says let the redeemed say so.

Tell somebody.

Share your testimony.

Speak of His goodness.

Celebrate His faithfulness.

Because every time we testify, we remind ourselves and others that God still keeps His promises.

So today, I want to leave you with this question:

What promise of God can you look back on today and say, “God did exactly what He said He would do?”

Think about it.

Reflect on it.

Thank Him for it.

And then share it.

Because faithful witnesses testify to God’s promises.

And the greatest testimony is not simply what God has done.

It’s the fact that He is still doing it.

Be encouraged.

Be grateful.

Be faithful.

And keep testifying.

Because the same God who brought you through yesterday is the same God who is guiding you through today and preparing your tomorrow.

As always, I will continue to speak God’s blessings of health, wealth, and prosperity over your lives and your families’ lives as He continues to keep us all “Safe in His Arms.”

Moore Reflections

“I Am Way Too Old to Be Tricked — Thinking Life Is All About Me”

There comes a point in life when you have lived long enough, seen enough, lost enough, gained enough, and experienced enough to realize something that should have been obvious all along:

Life is not all about me.

Not everything revolves around my wants, my plans, my timing, my comfort, or my desires.

As I’ve grown older and hopefully wiser, I’ve come to understand that one of the greatest tricks life can play on us is convincing us that we are the center of everything.

The truth is, we’re not.

I know that may sound simple, but it is a lesson that has changed my perspective.

You see, when everything is about us, we become frustrated when things don’t go our way. We become offended when people don’t meet our expectations. We become disappointed when doors close, plans change, and life takes unexpected turns.

But when we realize that God’s purpose is bigger than our personal preferences, something begins to shift.

The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6:

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”

Notice what the scripture doesn’t say.

It doesn’t say trust in your own understanding.

It doesn’t say trust in your own feelings.

It doesn’t say trust in your own plans.

It says trust in the Lord.

I’ve had seasons in my life where I didn’t understand what God was doing.

I’ve had moments when I questioned why certain doors closed.

I’ve had moments when I wondered why certain people left.

I’ve had moments when the pain became personal.

And if I’m being transparent, there have been moments when I simply asked, “Lord, why?”

As many of you know, life has brought its share of challenges. I’ve had to process the loss of my oldest daughter. I’ve had to process the loss of my sister, who meant so much to me. I’ve had to process the loss of people who played significant roles in my life and business.

Steve Moore knows firsthand that there are some hurts that don’t disappear overnight.

There are some wounds that require God’s grace every single day.

Yet through it all, God continues to remind me that life isn’t about me.

It’s about purpose.

It’s about serving.

It’s about loving.

It’s about encouraging.

It’s about being a blessing to someone else even when you’re carrying your own burdens.

Galatians 6:9 tells us:

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

That scripture reminds me that our assignment is greater than our feelings.

Our purpose is greater than our pain.

Our calling is greater than our circumstances.

When I look back over my own life, I can see the hand of God guiding me every step of the way.

From losing my mother at the age of three…

To being raised by a loving father and surrounded by family who poured into me…

To becoming an entrepreneur and serving this community for more than thirty five years…

To walking through victories, challenges, heartbreaks, and blessings…

I can honestly say that God’s plan has always been bigger than my own.

And the same is true for all of us.

Maybe that’s why Jesus said in Matthew 20:28:

“Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister.”

Think about that.

The One who could have made everything about Himself chose instead to serve others.

What would happen if we all adopted that mindset?

What would happen if we spent less time asking, “What’s in it for me?” and more time asking, “How can I help someone else?”

What would happen if we focused less on being served and more on serving?

I believe our families would be stronger.

Our communities would be stronger.

Our relationships would be stronger.

And our lives would become more meaningful.

The older I get, the more I realize that true fulfillment doesn’t come from making life all about me.

It comes from making a difference.

It comes from loving people.

It comes from lifting others.

It comes from leaving something behind that outlives us.

So today, I want to leave you with this question:

Have you been living for yourself, or have you been living for something greater than yourself?

Because one day, none of us will be remembered for how much attention we received.

We’ll be remembered for how much love we gave.

We’ll be remembered for how many lives we touched.

We’ll be remembered for how we treated people along the journey.

And that, my friends, is what truly matters.

Be encouraged.

Keep your heart humble.

Keep your faith strong.

Keep serving.

Keep loving.

Keep trusting God, even when you don’t understand the process.

Because His purpose for your life is always greater than your perspective.

With love and reflection,
