JUNE 3 • MEDALLION HUNT



Unlike some OTHER “Oak Islands” we are NOT “cursed” … but that doesn’t mean there’s no treasure to go huntin’ for!!



In just FIVE DAYS the most exciting mystery in Town returns, when the 2026 Oak Island Medallion Hunt begins on Monday, June 8, 2026.



The Medallion Hunt is a fun and exciting event where the community comes together in a race to find the hidden medallion, all while exploring our beautiful town and discovering local businesses!



Every morning a new puzzle will be posted on the Town Website and our page, where the answer leads to a business in Town. Solve the puzzle, identify the business, and visit them for a CLUE that brings you one step closer to finding the Medallion!

🇺🇸The Southport Police Department is pleased to announce that our Flag Lowering Ceremonies will commence on Monday evening at 7:30pm, and we cordially invite you to attend.

🇺🇸This event is proudly co-sponsored by the Sisters of Southport. Each evening, the flag will be lowered at 7:30pm, accompanied by the playing of taps. Subsequently, the flag will be presented to the attending Southport Police Officer.
