Southold School Garden Creating a sustainable garden at Southold School The aim is to take advantage of educations opportunities in using school space creatively.

Not only will students plant, cultivate and reap vegetables to be used in the school cafeteria, the garden is to be a center of activity for a variety of learning experiences, including math, science, reading, writing, journaling and photography

"Potato, potahto" it's all the same to us! 1st graders harvesting potatoes that they planted as Kindergarteners. Then, Ms. Ormond, prepared the potatoes with our 1st graders and they were served to them at lunch as a side dish.

Happy Saturday! We are looking for anyone able to donate vegetable and flower plugs for our spring garden. We are also in need of compost and raised bed soil.

Interested in volunteering at the Southold School Garden? Come down to the garden on Wednesday mornings in July (10th, 17th, 24th & 31st) from 8-11 a.m. Tasks: mostly weeding, watering, setting up new raised beds, succession planting, etc. All skill levels are welcome. Please bring water and gloves. We will have bathroom access.
