He is the one vested with skill and Zen-like knowledge of how and when to adjust the intake and outlet dampers, temperature and cooking time to bring about perfect barbecue. This shaman of the barbecue considers everything from weather conditions to the type of food and the type of sauce, rub or seasoning to be used. The pitmaster also considers temperature, cooking time and the final degree of do

neness. It's not the pit that makes good barbecue, it's the pitmaster. Where there's a good smoker, there's good barbecue! With over 10 years of competition cooking, I have been a part of over 55 Grand Championships and over 200 1st Place Trophies. Our baby back ribs recipe has won 11 Grand Championships and over 30 1st Place Trophies! 10 Bones was the 2008 MBN Shoulder Team of the Year and we won Grand Championships with Hog, Shoulder, & Rib!

10 Bones has one of the most unique smoker setups around! It's custom made by Mike McGowan, owner & inventor of Backwoods Smokers. We have a Pro Jr and a Competitor on the front and "The Whole Hog" on the back! I can make these babies "talk" and if you get the opportunity to judge us, you'll know what I mean!
