βπ My WHY has always been bigger than a business. My WHY are my four daughters.
When my older daughters began reaching working age as teenagers, I started paying much closer attention to the environments they were entering and the influences around them.
As their mother, I wanted more for them.
I realized I could do more than tell my girls about work ethic, responsibility and entrepreneurship. I could create an environment where they could experience those things firsthand.
So in February 2024, I took ownership of Southaven Nutrition Hut.
What started as a motherβs desire to create better opportunities for her children has grown into something I never imagined.
Today, my older daughters currently work at SNH, and my youngest is growing up around the business, participating with us in age-appropriate activities, fundraising and community events. Over the years, my daughters have had the opportunity to see firsthand what it takes to serve customers, solve problems, work hard and build something of your own.
And thatβs what makes this business so personal to me.
Iβm not simply building a nutrition shop.
Iβm building something they can look at and say, βMy mom built that.β
Now my dream is to take what weβve created even furtherβdeveloping SNH into a brand that can grow beyond Southaven, launching an SNH Mobile Unit so we can participate in more schools, fundraisers and community events, creating jobs and eventually expanding into additional communities.
What began as creating opportunities for my own daughters has become a dream of creating opportunities for other families too.
Thatβs my HIGH FIVE. βπ
