25 years ago I was in 5th grade when the towers were hit and as a child who wasn’t directly impacted, I didn’t really understand the severity. Fast forward… now a mom, healthcare worker, and a wife to a FDNY fireman, I find myself even more emotional about this day.
•
My heart breaks thinking of the thousands of people who left their house never to return to their families, those last moments on the plane, the moment before the twin towers fell, and the first responders who sacrified everything. 343 fireman gave their life that day + hundreds more are suffering medically today. It’s extremely humbling and empowering for me to make sure my son understands the reason why we always remember + never forget. I will be holding on a little tighter + a little longer to my loved ones tonight.

Do you ever think who are the kitchen curators behind the barn doors?? The answer is two badass local women who are making sure we are all nourished! They work extremely hard to keep our shelves stocked and our families fed with all of their homemade recipes.

It wasn’t easy pulling these two out of the kitchen, but if you see them, let them know your favorite food from the grind and a give them a BIG thank you for all they do! We can’t wait to see what they are cooking up this season. 🍁👩🏻‍🍳🥣
