The Borough of Garwood kicks off the holiday season with its Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, presented by the Garwood Recreation Committee and sponsored by the Union County Board of County Commissioners and Vermella at Garwood Station! 🎄

The event, taking place on Saturday, November 29th from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Borough Hall (403 South Avenue), will feature fun and free activities and entertainment for the whole family!

🎤Music and entertainment: Performances by The Celebration Singers and the Lincoln School Chorus, DJ and music by Alan Keith Entertainment.

🥇Ugly Sweater Contest: wear your best, ugliest holiday sweater to the event and show it off for a chance to win!

🥙Food Trucks (food for purchase): Bring your appetites! Participating food trucks include Box Mobile Catering, The MexiBoys, and Hudson Willow Coffee!

🖌Holiday arts and crafts!

🧸The Garwood Police Department and Girl Scout Troop 41290 will be collecting donations (unwrapped toys) for Toys for Tots.

I’m so excited to be joining Hudson Willow Coffee! I’m all about the simple joys. Good coffee, great people, and a little chat to make your day brighter. My go-to order is a maple sea salt latte (highly recommend!), and when I’m not sipping coffee, I’m usually lifting or doing something fitness-related. Can’t wait to meet you at the window ☕✨

Hi friends! Those of you that do not know me, I am Kristen the owner of Hudson Willow Coffee. So thankful you all are here! I will be popping on from time to time to say hello … maybe one day you’ll get a live video.🫣☺️The feedback has been so positive from you all and I am so happy! The reason for this post is to explain a bit. When you see a line, please don’t get discouraged. I am working hard and moving as fast as I can.🙏🏼I try with each and every cup of coffee, latte or Matcha I make is with love and to make your cup taste amazing. From time to time a shot may fall short!😅BUT I will redo it. Why the line and or wait?! Hudson Willow does not make coffee with a push of a button. The steps are as follows … grinding, dosing, leveling, tamping and extracting the coffee. These steps are to ensure proper extraction and balanced flavor. Please note I will never judge nor put down an espresso machine that has buttons, one day I may purchase that machine in the future. I appreciate you standing in the hot sun and humid rainy weather. It does not go unnoticed. While inline that is a perfect time to talk to others and get to know one another, one of the many reasons I started HWC mobile, is to get the community together outside and to know one another! I am excited for the future of Hudson Willow Coffee and look forward to seeing you all!❤️
