Hi, this video is for you if you've lost your baby. I did too. Her name was Aspen. I was 37 weeks pregnant and I thought I was in labor. I gave birth to my first daughter and came home from the hospital without her. 

The days and weeks I followed I experienced unimaginable grief. How was I supposed to wake up everyday for the rest of my life without her? 

Our culture is not very comfortable with grief. I also learned that grief is messy, it can sneak up on you, and sometimes it's easier to compartmentalize it. Duty calls, ya know! While you're in a space that feel like limbo, that doesn't make sense, the rest of the world is spinning as usual.

My husband and I were living at our property (Black Bear Lodge | South Lake Tahoe, CA) when Aspen was born. I knew right away this would and should be a location for a grief retreat. A safe place to gather and connect with people who have had similar experiences. Not to fix grief but to hold space for it. 

That's how the idea for Gather was born. We want to care for you, your journey and your baby. We will cook for you. Sit with you. Move with you. There will be community acupuncture, massage, live music, movement, sound baths, and ritual all to meet you where you are.
