🏵️ Remembering is another way of loving.
At Maria’s Mexican Grill, we’re sharing our Día de Mu***os altar, lovingly prepared to honor those who are no longer physically with us but remain forever in our hearts.
This Mexican tradition has roots in the Indigenous cultures of Mexico and, over time, became intertwined with the Catholic observances of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day. Passed down through generations, it is a way to remember our loved ones with love, respect, and gratitude.
Every detail of the altar has meaning: water symbolically quenches thirst, candles light the way, and marigolds mark the path with their vibrant colors and fragrance. Bread and favorite foods are offerings of love, while photographs remind us of their stories, their smiles, and the moments we shared.
For us, this altar is a way to give thanks for all they left in our lives, share their memories, and keep one of our culture’s most cherished traditions alive.
🧡 There will always be a place at our table and in our hearts for those we love.
With love,
Maria’s Mexican Grill
