Need a good summer read (or two)? How about a couple of Colorado mountain-town mysteries powered by a gang of coffee-shop septuagenarians? These gents bring their unique life skills to the table (literally!) to solve crimes from the past which reach into the present - with often perilous results. These thrilling and sometimes hilarious stories show that just because a group of retirees may have more past than future in their lives doesn’t mean that they’re quite done yet! DEAF ROW and its sequel DEEP END by Edgar Award-nominated author Ron Franscell are available here at Pale Morning Coffee and An Angler’s Bookcase.

FYI for South Fork business owners - I had a call today on my business phone from a restricted number, and a man identified himself as a South Fork police officer (I think he said his name was officer Shevlin). He asked for the person in charge, and asked my name, and I - feeling pretty sure we did not have an officer Shevlin - asked him for his name again - and he hung up. Just a PSA - beware!
