The Ox is the second of all zodiac animals. According to one myth, the Jade Emperor said the order would be decided by the order in which they arrived to his party. The Ox was about to be the first to arrive, but Rat tricked Ox into giving him a ride. Then, just as they arrived, Rat jumped down and landed ahead of Ox. Thus, Ox became the second animal. Celebrating the Lunar New Year, the year of the Ox, by featuring this appetizer our Shredded Braised Oxtail, Gingered Abode Farm Carrot, and Baby Bok Choy. John Andrews Farmhouse Restaurant seeks a full-time experienced line cook. Ideal candidates will have experience working the grill station in a scratch kitchen, but we are willing to train the right candidate who is passionate about food, has a positive attitude, is willing to learn new things and is reliable. Pay is based on experience. Job duties include but are not limited to: preparing all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner, following recipes and presentation specifications, operating standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, cleaning and maintaining the grill station by practicing food safety and sanitation, assisting with the cleaning and organization of the kitchen and equipment, restocking items as needed throughout the shift, adhering to all sanitation and food production codes. To all of our amazing guests we are excited to announce that we have reopened for indoor dining! We will continue to offer take out as well Thursday - Monday 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM. A few reminders, per the State of Massachusetts Restaurant Safety Standards face coverings are required at all times with the exception of the actual act of eating and drinking. Seated table service must be limited for each party to 90 minutes or less. The size of a party seated at a table cannot exceed 6 guests and customers are encouraged to only dine with members of the same household. We are currently required to operate at 25% capacity therefore reservations are highly encouraged. Our last reservation will be at 8:30 PM. We can serve you food and drink until 9:30 PM. All guests must leave by 10 PM. We look forward to continuing to serve all of you, call 413.528.3469 to reserve your spot in our dining room or place your takeout order!
