Sending our deepest condolences to Karen’s family and the Bendix Coffee team. Karen played a pivotal role in creating the Crack of Dawn blend our guests know and love, and we’ll always be grateful for her support and friendship.

With heavy hearts, we received the call that Bendix Coffee founder, Karen Haun, passed away last week. This news is devastating for us to hear and our thoughts and prayers are with her husband, David Heckaman, and the rest of her family.
Karen started Bendix Coffee in 2013. In 2022, she took a chance on us as the new owners of her business, to continue the Bendix Coffee name as she retired to focus on her family and other interests.
She mentored us, gave us opportunities, shared accomplishments, and was a friend to us.
To carry on Karen’s legacy with Bendix Coffee is such an honor and a big responsibility for us.
Karen loved coffee, the community, and people. Everytime we look at our logo, we can remember the hard work and dedication Karen put in for Bendix Coffee to be here today.

We are incredibly sad to hear this news and hope we can truly honor her with the business she started so long ago.
