God bless our Vets!
Most of the soldiers on those first boats to hit the beach didn't live to see the end of the day. Look at those faces. Some of them never even made it to their 18th birthday.

Never forget that they paid the ultimate price for our freedom. We live our lives the way we do because of them.

Today, we pause to remember D-Day, June 6, 1944, a day that forever altered the course of history.

On that day, Allied forces landed on the beaches of Normandy, beginning the long and costly fight to free Europe from the oppression of Na**sm and Fascism.

In a time when so much history is forgotten or overlooked, this moment should remind us of the tremendous courage and sacrifice displayed by those who were willing to lay down their lives for the cause of freedom.

Many never returned home. We honor their memory by remembering their sacrifice, the cost of liberty, and the importance of never forgetting why they fought.
