We’re so happy to welcome our friends from KYŌYO HAUS | FRESH MOCHI & ASIAN SOFT SERVE for a limited pop up series right here at small batch macas + bubble tea at Bow Market on Saturday 10/17, 10/24 and 10/31 from 12-3!

If you haven’t had a chance to visit Kyōyo Haus, they are a mochi ice cream shop inside The Garage in Harvard Square. Every mochi is wrapped by hand around their own handmade soft serve.

What they’ll have:
- The Cup, one mochi cut in four with two strawberry slices: $8
- Share Cup, two flavors, eight pieces: $15
- Taster, one piece and a slice: $3

Flavors will be an assortment of their greatest hits and we’ll announce which ones soon!

It’s tiiiimmmeeeeeeeee (in my most Mariah Carey voice)!

Crazy to think we took these photos last year and I thought I just had a psoas / back issue and unfortunately one year later the cancer is still there after everything. I’m headed into the hospital tomorrow for what i hope is only a one day procedure but figured I’d officially launch our advent calendars! I will not be cancelling them this year I promise.

Please read the captions in full! Biggest TLDR we will correct all the dates on the back end based on the selection that you choose in the modifiers AND you must place separate orders if they’re being shipped to different people. Lastly we don’t send personal reminders so please add a calendar reminder to your phone after checkout. Oh and last lastly, I hope you enjoy 🥹🥹

Hi friends! My favorite day of the year is tomorrow! Fluff Festival organized by Union Square Main Streets ! Here’s the deal! ALL fluff specials will be available à la carte in store starting at noon. We will be open til 8 or sell out whichever is sooner.

What are the specials you ask??? We have 6 fluff macas, fluffernutter and banana fluff pie bon bons by Petrova Chocolates, 5 fluff cake jar flavors, 5 regular cake jar flavors including our signature funfetti collab cake jar with Yum Bunnies Cakery 🧁 Boston Custom Cakes 🧁 and our toasted fluff milk tea with pearls. As if that wasn’t enough we will also have our forever favorite s’mores macaron stuffed cookie. Check our last post for full menu details!

We are sharing our tent with our friends at Nook serving canned fluff mocktails (yes they’re non alcoholic! New recipe!) two flavors: fluffernutter and somerville vice (my personal fave). Buy a couple to drink day of or grab some to go and make it alcoholic at home 😉. The tent is designed for all your grab and go treats. Our maca offerings WILL BE DIFFERENT at the tent versus in store. Tent offerings are:

🍬a complete 6 piece fluff box featuring all 6 fluff flavors
🍬 a three piece classic box exclusive featuring fluffernutter, smores and PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY. Grape jelly of course. This flavor is only available in 3 pack form and at the tent. So if you love this flavor which I know you guys do, you gotta stop at the tent!
🍰all five fluff cake jars PLUS our signature funfetti cake jar!

If you’d like to use your NuMarket credits, gift cards or loyalty credits, please use them IN STORE or save them for next time. We will not be processing any credits at the tent given the nature of the set up for Saturday. Thanks in advance for your cooperation!

Can’t wait for a fluffin’ good time tomorrow!!! Our tent will be at the corner of the main Bow Market entry way by 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧! It’ll be a brisk 65 degrees and sunny. Fluff Festival starts 1-5 PM! Public transit or ride share drop off is KEY.

HOW TO FLUFF WITH MACA!

We will preview our fluff specials on Wednesday September 16th 4-9 PM. If the crowds are too much for you, this is a great day to come, and there are some great fluff vendors that come to Bow to kickstart our fluff celebrations!

Our display case will have fluff flavors just on Wednesday September 16th and Saturday September 19th. They will remain online on Thursday September 17th and Friday September 18th. Online ordering and preorder pick ups will be shut off on Saturday September 19th. Any remaining flavors will continue to be sold the following days post festival.

Our 3 piece and 6 piece boxes, as well as our fluff cake jars will be sold at our Tent on the street from 1-5 PM! 3 piece includes smores, fluffernutter, pb+grape jelly. 6 piece includes all 6 fluff flavors. We’re sharing a tent with our friends at Nook. Another post to follow for tent specific specials!

The store will be closing early on Saturday September 19th. We plan to be open from 12 pm to 8 pm or sell out.

It’s OUR birthday week!!! Tomorrow is our 8th year .market and my birthday is the day after.

I have experienced so much loss lately and am still grieving all if it while I recover at home now that the “big” thing is over and I have a moment to breathe. Like wtf did I just go through? How does that feel? How do I want to live my life and continue to show up for myself and others? Heavy emotions and thoughts but that’s for another time.

I wanted to celebrate our 7th birthday last year but we were in the final stretch of maca 2.0 store renovations and this year I’m recovering from SCT. I didn’t want 8 years to go by unnoticed and so I finally did the thing I’ve been wanting to do since the start and finally set up a loyalty program! You voted and it’s a mix of free stuffs and $ off and it’ll continue to be modified and edited based on what you want, I’m sure of it! You can sign up with the link in ’s bio! It’s super simple and free! If you link your email under the earnings tab I even throw in an extra 25 stars for you 🫶🏼. That’s a wrap yall! Well, temporarily 🫶🏼. I’ll miss this little store so much and am grateful I got to spend so much time here in the last week to really be in my store and enjoy what I’ve built. Here’s a collection of all the things that make me happy and hopefully bring you joy too.

I’m admitted to the hospital tomorrow to start my stem cell transplant (another birthday!) journey! The store is stocked and the drinks will be flowing thanks to the small but mighty maca team.

Catch me on the caring bridge for updates, and hopefully I’ll be back sooner than predicted 💕🫶🏼
