We have such an incredible group of people behind Saints & Scholars, and we think they deserve a little time in the spotlight. So each month, we're going to introduce you to a staff member who makes our pub feel special, and let you get to know the human behind the job a little, too!
Our July Employee of the Month Is Katie!
Katie has a way of making people feel like they belong.
She welcomes you like she's genuinely happy you walked through the door. She'll remember you, laugh with you, and somehow keep that same warmth even when the pub is packed and she's running in five directions. And then there's the Katie giggle... completely unmistakable and so contagious - I've watched grown men at the bar start giggling right along with her.😂
I loved hearing how much that same kindness means to her coworkers.
They said Katie is one of the first people they go to when they don't know something or need help. Not just because she knows what she's doing, but because she never makes anyone feel bad for asking. She's patient, reassuring, and reminds them it's okay to make a mistake. And when things get hard, she's the person who jumps in beside you rather than waiting to be asked. As one mentioned, “When I see Katie on the schedule, I know it’s going to be a good shift.” And it always is! 😊
Over this past year, I've watched that kindness grow into confidence and leadership. Katie, you rock and we are so grateful for you! Congrats on being our first employee of the month! 🩷☘️

What’s a place that makes you feel at home and why?
The Oregon coast. I was born in Salem, Oregon and Lincoln City was our favorite place to go for day trips as a kid. Plus it smells good lol
