👻 HAUNTED HISTORY THURSDAY 👻

For now, Haunted History Thursday is an online storytelling series shared exclusively here on the Cabbage Patch Restaurant page. There are no live storytelling events, ghost tours, or paranormal activities taking place at the restaurant at this time—but something spooky may be in the works!

We’ll share all the details when the time comes. Until then, follow along right here each week for more haunted history, unexplained stories, and local legends from the Cabbage Patch.

WHO MOVES THE FURNITURE AFTER MIDNIGHT?

The Cabbage Patch has been quiet for hours.

The doors are locked. The final dishes have been put away. Every table and chair is exactly where it belongs.

Then the noises begin.

A heavy scrape travels across the dining-room floor.

It sounds unmistakably like a chair being dragged away from a table.

A moment later comes another sound—deeper and heavier—as though one of the wooden booths is slowly shifting across the floor.

Then something crashes.

But when someone enters the dining room to investigate, the room is completely silent.

No customers. No employees. No explanation.

Only a chair sitting crooked in the aisle, a table no longer lined up properly, and furniture that appears to have moved from where it was left.

Everything is returned to its place.

Later, the scraping begins again.

Is someone—or something—still arranging the dining room after everyone has gone home?

Have you ever heard an unexplained noise inside an old building? If you heard heavy furniture moving in an empty room, would you go investigate—or head straight for the door?

Tell us what you think is moving the furniture, and tag someone brave enough to investigate with you!

This story is inspired by the history, reported experiences, and paranormal legends surrounding the Cabbage Patch Restaurant.

The Cabbage Patch has never been just a place to eat.❤️

It’s a place where birthdays are celebrated, friends linger over lunch, families gather around the table, first dates become lasting love stories, and traditions are passed from one generation to the next.

There’s something comforting about sitting down together over a warm, home-cooked meal—the familiar flavors, the laughter around the table, and those unhurried moments that become some of our most treasured memories.

We can’t wait to welcome you in, serve you something made with care, and become a small part of the memories your family will carry for years to come.

What is your favorite Cabbage Patch memory? We would love to hear it in the comments.

THE LAST GUEST NEVER LEFT

Long after the final guests had gone and the dining room had been prepared for another day, one table reportedly refused to stay untouched.

A chair was found pulled away from the table.

A neatly folded napkin had been disturbed.

And an antique teacup appeared to be warm—as though someone had only just taken a sip.

The chair was pushed back into place, but later that evening, it had been pulled out again.

Then someone glanced into the large dining-room mirror.

For just a moment, the reflection showed a woman sitting quietly at the table with her hands folded in front of her.

But when they turned around, the chair was empty.

Was it Sybil returning to a familiar room?

Or could another guest have never truly left the Cabbage Patch?

Look closely at the picture. Do you see her?

If you were alone and saw that chair move, would you investigate—or immediately leave?

Tell us in the comments, and tag someone who loves a good ghost story!

👻 Haunted History Thursdays (Online Only) 👻

Before we begin... This is an online storytelling series only. There are no ghost tours or haunted events taking place at the restaurant. Every Thursday, we're sharing the history, local legends, and memories surrounding this historic Snohomish landmark right here on our page.

One of the oldest legends surrounding the Cabbage Patch centers around this staircase.

For years, guests and employees have shared remarkably similar stories.

According to local legend, a young girl named Sybill once fell down these very stairs long before the building became the Cabbage Patch Restaurant. Whether history, folklore, or something in between, her story has become part of the building's mystery.

Even today, some visitors have reported an odd sensation as they reach the very last step...

A gentle tug.

A sudden stumble.

The unmistakable feeling that someone brushed past them.

Then they turn around...

And no one is there.

Coincidence?

An old staircase settling beneath your feet?

Or perhaps Sybill quietly reminding everyone that she still calls this historic building home.

👻 Have you ever walked these stairs? Did anything unusual happen, or have you heard the legend? We'd love to hear your story in the comments.
