Ser inmigrante y hacer las cosas bien: ese es mi mayor orgullo. Llegué en 2015 con una maleta llena de sueños y mucha incertidumbre; hoy, esta comunidad nos ha recibido con los brazos abiertos y nos ha hecho sentir como en casa.

Esto es para mi familia, para mi esposa Maryflor y para todos los que creen en nosotros. Cada arepa y cada kilómetro llevan el mismo mensaje: no te rindas, sigue adelante, mantente fuerte, incluso cuando parezca que estás perdiendo la batalla. 🇻🇪❤️

I couldn't be happier; it is incredible that effort, dedication, perseverance, and consistency have led to one of the most amazing forms of recognition I have ever received—not only as an athlete or a small business owner, but also as an immigrant.

Likewise, I am grateful to the wonderful community of Surf City, Sneads Ferry, and the entire coast for opening their doors to an immigrant who left his country—fearful and deeply anxious due to what he had experienced in Venezuela—yet certain that the only path to success is to do things with love and in the most upright manner possible.
