Make sure you attend the ribbon cutting for Dumbeck’s new office and the little strip center they built along Gazley Creek between the tracks. They took a chance and ended up building the perfect sized office/retail space this town needed.

Great vision and an exceptional company!

30 Years of Pockets! I remember playing arcade games at their original location as a kid. What are your best memories?

We showed off the ideas for the funeral home a few doors down, but what about the ideas for the amazing property across the street?

We always see people looking at it and touring it. At some point, someone is finally going to pull the trigger. One of our customers may be an adaptive reuse architect with big visions for this property.

LAST-MINUTE CALL FOR MAKERS

This Saturday, during the Chamber of Commerce’s Meet Me at the Depot, we’re looking to host 2–3 local makers at Smithville General Store.

If you make something and want a place to sell it for the morning, we’d love to hear from you.

Each maker will get a 5' x 6' space to set up a booth. There’s no cost to participate. Setup can begin at 8:00 AM, and we just ask that you’re here from 9:00 AM to noon.

The rules are pretty simple:

• Sell things you actually make... not products bought online for resale.
• Bring your own table, display, and anything else you need for your setup.
• Keep your booth within your space and clean everything up when you’re done.

That’s it.

We’re starting small with just a couple of makers this first Saturday and seeing where it goes.

Interested? Send us a message and tell us what you make.

Go check out our friends at their new spot inside of Twig!

Thank you to everyone who came through our doors yesterday. I’m so grateful for your support and for all the love you’ve shown us.

Ellen Strain-Seymour and Ian Strain-Seymour I’m so touched that you drove from Austin to be here.

Y’all made this beginning even more special. ❤️
