It’s been hard to find the right words because Don was more than a local business owner he was a true Smithville icon and a part of the heart of this community. Through the years he built friendships, earned respect, and left a lasting impact on countless people who were fortunate enough to know him.
Don was a familiar face, a hard worker, and someone who genuinely cared about Smithville. His contributions to our town will not be forgotten and his absence will be felt by many.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Patty, Jaime, Jennifer, Elenor, and the entire family during this incredibly difficult time. We pray they find comfort in the memories they shared and in knowing how much Don meant to this community.
Thank you Don for all you gave to Smithville. Your kindness, dedication, and presence helped make our town a better place, and the memories you created with so many people will live on for years to come.
You will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Don Mutschink, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and longtime business owner of Milton's in Smithville.
To have known him was an honor. To have loved him was a precious gift. To have been served and loved by him was a great privilege.
A Celebration of Life will be planned around his 70th birthday in September. There is a memory table at Milton's Furniture in Smithville if you would like to stop by and share a memory of him with the family.
We would like to thank everyone for their love and support as we navigate through this tough time.
