Katie’s of Smithtown is proud to present our new “kitchen”: ROXY! The So Cal food truck that has Long Island buzzing about the delicious, innovative pub grub served exclusively on the Katie’s patio. Roxy’s story:
For the longest time, Brian, the owner of Katie’s of Smithtown, had wanted to put a kitchen into his bar. For one reason or another, that was an impossibility, no matter how hard he push
ed. So, one day in 2014, Brian had had it. “Enough with the frozen pizzas already!”
He researched food trucks on the east coast for three long months before he came to the realization that…there are no food trucks on the east coast (that aren’t just converted UPS trucks). So, he started looking toward the west…when suddenly, there she was! The beautiful Roxy in all of her glory (built in Southern California by one of the top food truck builders in the nation), just waiting for the right man to come sweep her off her…street (Badum-CHING)..and bring her to her new home. Immediately, Brian knew it was a match made in heaven…so, in February 2015, he bought a one way ticket to California, and drove Roxy across the country to her new home in Long Island, NY to make history. With an ever-changing menu, we seek to excite our customer-base by putting a unique twist on old standard pub noshes using only the freshest ingredients available to us. Sick of that boring old baked mac ’n cheese? Give our fried truffle mac ’n cheese balls a go! Not feeling like getting messy with a plate of buffalo wings? No mess, but all of the flavor can be found in our buffalo chicken egg rolls! Our waffle specials change every few days. Ya picking up what we’re putting down here? (We sure hope so!)
