Our Story
Dos Almas means “Two Souls” — a name born from a shared dream to bring the soul of Latin cuisine to the heart of Slidell. Built on tradition, family recipes, and a deep love for bold, authentic flavors, Dos Almas is a celebration of Latin culture and connection. Every dish is handcrafted with care, from slow-cooked meats to house-made tortillas and fresh salsas. We’re proud to share our table with you. Bienvenidos a Dos Almas.

Buenos días,

Después de mucha oración y reflexión, he tomado la muy difícil decisión de cerrar las puertas de Dos Almas Restaurant.

Quiero ser lo más transparente posible con la comunidad, ya que estoy muy agradecida por todo el apoyo que hemos recibido durante el último año. Uno de mis hijos está experimentando retrasos en su desarrollo, y en este momento necesita más de mi atención, tiempo y presencia de lo que puedo darle mientras también manejo el restaurante. Como madre, mis hijos deben ser mi prioridad, y quiero poder darles el cuidado y el apoyo que merecen durante este momento tan importante.

Esta decisión no ha sido fácil. Dos Almas siempre ha sido mucho más que un restaurante para mí. Ha sido un lugar donde compartimos comidas, risas, historias y donde construimos una hermosa comunidad juntos. De todo corazón, gracias a cada persona que cruzó nuestras puertas, nos apoyó, nos animó y nos permitió ser parte de sus vidas.

Nuestro último día abierto para servicio regular será el 29 de marzo. Espero que muchos de ustedes puedan visitarnos antes de esa fecha para que podamos compartir una última comida juntos y poder agradecerles personalmente.

Aunque el restaurante estará cerrando, esto no es el final de Dos Almas. Seguiré ofreciendo servicios de catering y eventos especiales, y espero poder continuar sirviendo a nuestra comunidad de esa manera. Por favor síganos en Facebook como Dos Almas Restaurant y en Instagram como para seguir disfrutando de los platillos que han llegado a amar.

Gracias nuevamente por el amor y el apoyo que han mostrado a mi familia y a este sueño. Significa más de lo que las palabras pueden expresar.

Good morning,
After much prayer and reflection, I’ve made the very difficult decision to close the doors of Dos Almas Restaurant.

I would like to be as transparent as possible with the community as I am very appreciative of the support we have received over the past year. One of my children is currently experiencing developmental delays, and at this time they need more of my attention, time, and presence than I can give while also running the restaurant. As a Mother my children must come first, and I want to be able to give them the care and support they deserve during this important time.

This decision was not an easy one. Dos Almas has always been so much more than a restaurant to me. It has been a place where we shared meals, laughter, stories, and built a beautiful community together. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every single person who walked through our doors, supported us, encouraged us, and allowed us to be part of your lives.

Our last day open for regular service will be March 29th. I hope many of you will come by before then so we can share one more meal together and I can personally thank you.

Although the restaurant will be closing, this is not the end of Dos Almas completely. I will still be offering catering and special events, and I look forward to continuing to serve our community in that way.
