Sharing this so you all know why you moved to this wonderful and caring town within Orange County. From the vibes of flags being all around town to our first responders saving lives, we thank you!
We do not know every detail of what happened and we 100% respect the families’ privacy as this is none of our personal business, but our hearts are with this child and everyone affected by this tragedy.
To the family and friends who immediately jumped in and began lifesaving first aid, thank you. In a moment filled with fear, shock, and panic, you found the courage to act. Your efforts mattered.
To the men and women of the Town of Wawayanda EMS, thank you for everything you do for our community. You answer the call on people’s worst days, and your dedication and training were on full display. We are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.
Thank you as well to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the New York State Police, the Town of Goshen Police Department, the pilots who rushed to the scene and all of the first responders who came together to help this child as if they were your own. Thank you to our town supervisor and our elected officials for supporting this local EMS program.
This is what community looks like. People coming together, putting aside everything else, and doing everything possible for someone in need. We continue to pray for this child and hope for a positive outcome. ❤️
The Town would like to extend its sincere gratitude to the Town of Goshen Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department for responding to this call and escorting our EMS team to the landing zone yesterday. We also want to commend the employees of our EMS Department for the great job they did yesterday and everyday! The Board firmly believes that saving a life is invaluable, which is why we prioritized emergency medical services in our community.
