Yesterday, a whole crew of Skagway paddlers launched from Whitehorse for the Yukon River Quest, taking on 444 miles of river, little sleep, and a challenge most people wouldn’t even dream of attempting.
We’re especially cheering for Christian, one of our beloved Brew Co servers, and his teammate Johnathan (Team #64), but our support goes out to every Skagway team out there making their way toward Dawson City. From familiar faces behind local businesses to longtime river legends and first-time racers, it’s pretty incredible to see so much of our community represented on the Yukon. We know the miles ahead won’t be easy, but neither are the people from this town.
We’ll be following along every checkpoint, celebrating every mile, and cheering from Skagway all the way to Dawson.
