Help us wish our favorite Saturday server, Natalie, a BIG goodbye! 💕🍗🎓

Today is her last shift at The Keg before she heads off to college! 🥹 We’re going to miss her smiling face, hard work, and all the fun she brings to our Saturday crew.

We’ve loved watching her grow from our Keg kid into the amazing young woman she is today, and we couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter! 🩷

Stop in today, say goodbye, and give her some Keg love before she spreads her wings!

For decades, The Keg has been serving up fresh, never-frozen chicken to our friends, neighbors, families, and generations of loyal customers. We may be a small, family-owned restaurant, but we’ve always believed in doing big things with a little chicken, a lot of hard work, and an amazing community behind us. 🥹❤️

To see The Keg recognized by Chowhound is something we are incredibly proud of—and we couldn’t have gotten here without all of you who have supported us, shared a meal with us, and told someone else about your favorite Keg chicken. ❤️

The Keg Throwback: Where It All Began! 😎

Every great tradition has a starting point… and ours began back in 1979 when Hal and Donna Larsen purchased The Keg at the corner of 10th & Bahnson.

With just 5 fryers, seating for 50 guests, a 10-seat bar, and a drive-up window, it wasn’t fancy-but it was the start of something special. Fresh out of high school, Neil Larsen took the reins and spent the next 16 years serving up an average of 1,500 pieces of chicken every week! 🍗

Back then, the menu was simple: crispy chicken, chislic, fries, coleslaw, baked beans, plus favorites like mushrooms, cheese nuggets, and of course… our famous gizzards.

From humble beginnings to where we are today, we’re grateful for everyone who’s been part of The Keg’s story. ❤️ Do you remember visiting us at the original 10th & Bahnson location? We’d love to hear your memories!
