We’ve got some really exciting items in the seafood case this week, including a few that don’t come around very often!
The star of the week is definitely the Wild Copper River Sockeye Salmon. Seafood lovers wait all year for Copper River season. Its rich flavor, vibrant color, and high oil content make it one of the most sought-after salmon fisheries in the world.
We also brought in a NEW ITEM — Fresh Cusk Fillet. If you’ve never tried cusk before, think of it as a sweet, flaky white fish similar to cod, but with a slightly firmer texture. It’s fantastic baked, broiled, or fried.
And for the adventurous seafood fans, we have Fresh New Jersey-Caught Thrasher Shark. It’s mild, meaty, and perfect for grilling.

This is my pick this week because it’s light, healthy, and packed with flavor. The ponzu adds the perfect balance of citrus and umami, and the halibut is tender and buttery. It’s one of those dishes that feels special without being heavy.
