The Green Teahouse

The Green Teahouse THE GREEN TEAHOUSE was inspired by two brothers and a sister's passion for unique and premium teas. In 2009, The Green Teahouse was established.
(1)

Since youth they were enamored with their time-honored Chinese tradition of drinking fresh loose tea. Such love fostered their passion and created a renewed respect and appreciation for their culture. Aspiring to share their heritage and rich knowledge of fine tea, while recognizing America's health awareness, they ventured to the Western world. The brothers-sister team ushered in a new tradition

while realizing a childhood dream. Today the fruits of their labor can be enjoyed in America and throughout the world; proudly offering only the finest teas worthy of bearing The Green Teahouse name. Taste the difference that extraordinary quality and guaranteed freshness can make in your cup! Share the dream! Share the passion!

A cup of tea on a rainy afternoon reminds me of a truth from Ecclesiastes:

It’s possible to have everything and still not enjoy it.

The real blessing is not simply having more, but having a heart that can recognize and enjoy God’s gifts—big or small. ☕️🌧️

“God gives some people wealth, possessions and honor… but God does not grant them the ability to enjoy them.”
— Ecclesiastes 6:2

Watching him enjoying tea in front of the window. I’m grateful for the simple gifts ❤️

Today is Duan Wu Jie. ( Bamboo Sticky Rice Festival )
As a child in China, I knew this day by its familiar smells—the aroma of bamboo leaves, steaming sticky rice, and family gathered around the table.

We eat zongzi- sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaves, a tradition that has been passed down for over 2,000 years.
Food has a beautiful way of preserving memories.

Even though I now live in America, every bite takes me home.
Hi I’m Ting and I grown up in China.

And I’m now living in CT. I love sharing these traditions with you—because no matter where we come from, food connects us to the people and places we love.

Happy Duan Wu Jie. Dragon 🛶 💚
What food reminds you of home?
