💬 BEEN A MINUTE, SILVIS — LET ME BE REAL WITH YOU

Hey everyone, I wanted to be upfront about why we've been quiet on here.

These last couple weeks have been a lot. Work got busy, then our A/C went out in the store right during one of the hottest stretches — had to get that fixed ASAP. And then last week's rains on Wednesday and Thursday caused some damage at home. My hands were full, to say the least.

Thank you for your patience and for sticking with us. This little family store has been here 60+ years because of this community, and we don't take that for granted. ❤️

We're here, we're open, and we're ready to serve you. Stop in for your favorites this week — you know we got you. 😎🌮

📍 818 1st Ave, Silvis, IL
🕗 Mon-Sat 9am-7pm, Sun 8am-6pm
🛒 Friendly reminder: kitchen closed on Tuesdays — store still open

Apparently our asada burritos have been doing some talking for us lately 😎🌯

So we figured we’d cut one open and let you see what Jacob’s talking about. 👀🔥

We don’t make ’em look pretty… we make ’em taste good.

We’ve had quite a few new people find our page lately, so we just wanted to say welcome! 👋

San Luis Food Market & Taqueria has been serving the community for over 60 years. We’re a small family-owned store with fresh meats, Mexican groceries, produce, tortillas, and our taqueria in the back. 🌮

Whether you’ve been coming here for years or just discovered us, stop in and say hi.

And thank you again to everyone who shared, commented on, and supported our Hola America story. We truly appreciate it. ❤️

Big thanks to Hola America News for coming by and sitting down with my mom and me to talk a little about San Luis Food Market and how it all started.

It’s pretty crazy to think this little store has been around for over 60 years. A lot has changed over the years, but one thing hasn’t... we’re still here because of the support of our family, friends, customers, and this community.

We appreciate every single one of you.
