We hope everyone is doing well, staying safe, and getting ready to change your clocks back 1 hour this weekend 🙂
It's been really great seeing so many of you come and dine in during the weekends, and we thank you so much for your continual encouragement and support! I'm especially grateful because I know of the financial sacrifice you make when you come out to eat or get carry out, and I appreciate you all so much for helping us stay in business.
For those of you who are familiar with my posts, you know that when I send out a message it's because a change is happening at our restaurant, and unfortunately this time it is to share with you that we have to raise our prices again. You would be correct and justified in saying that this is unreasonable, and I do not fault anyone who is getting tired and frustrated with these adjustments.
I really wish that we could maintain the status quo when it comes to our menu. Every month we see costs steadily climbing in all our expense categories and our suppliers keep telling us that things will eventually plateau or even drop, but they never do. We hold off on changing the menu as long as we can until the situation becomes untenable, and we've now reached this inflection point where we have to alter our prices to try and catch up to our costs.
As a result, our price change will become effective this Saturday November 6th. I sound like a broken record but I am very sorry that we are raising our prices. This is a situation where there are no good options because if we don't raise prices it becomes very difficult to maintain our business but if we do raise our prices then we risk alienating and losing some (hopefully not all) of you, which can also hurt our business. I think the proverbial adage of being caught between a rock and a hard place applies here, but in the end it is our customers that pay the price, and I am sorry that we do not have a better alternative to offer.
What I can say is that I will always work to make sure your experience with us is a good one, and if it is not I will work and do my best to make it right. All of you have helped us each and every day to stay open and I sincerely hope that you will continue to support us because we have survived because of your generosity and kindness.
